Architectural Review Committee
Charter:
The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) shall be governed by the chair(s). The numbers and qualifications of the members of the ARC will be determined by the chairs but shall include no less than three and no more than seven members.
The ARC is a standing committee. Meetings are by a quorum of its members. The ARC is made up of the SWCM board. The ARC may meet as it determines, but shall not meet less than quarterly.
Statement of Purpose:
The SWCM Declaration of Establishment of Covenants & Restrictions (CC&Rs) limit the type and amounts of modifications that can be made to the existing common areas of the Mutual and exteriors of the existing buildings. Further it limits the type and amounts of new construction the Mutual may undertake. ARC is tasked with ensuring that proposed alterations and additions to SWCM buildings and common areas maintain the "look and feel" of the original construction, while ensuring the safety of the Member residents.
